Please Enjoy the Neighborhood

Owen Mercer needs a job and somewhere to sleep. Bellwether Court offers both: a beautiful model home, a steady wage, and Tess Avery, the stranger hired to play his wife.

All they have to do is make the neighborhood look lived in. Cook dinner. Read in the armchair. Wave to the buyers. Then the furniture starts returning to its marked places. So do the people.

As doors lead where they shouldn't and ordinary gestures become agonizing traps, Owen and Tess search for a way out of the life they were paid to perform. The houses are getting better at keeping them.
